Collage in envelope arrives from Ilya Semenenko, Russia
Received this collaged card with a difficult question about its theme possibly hidden in a short poem. The alphabet, so the language is all Greek to me! Yet the shiny collage is a wonderful piece of mailart. Thank you Ilya.
Thank You for blogging. I am very glad that You liked my collage.
No, my question has nothing to do with the font used in the composition, since this paper with a prescription of herbal medicine is just daily garbage in the style of K. Schwitters and R. Rauschenberg. My question is rather to generate imaginative associations in the viewer. And you are, of course, absolutely right about the Greek basis of the Russian alphabet; the Cyrillic alphabet for the Slavic languages was created a thousand years ago on the basis of the Byzantine script.
I am glad to see our cooperation in the Mail Art! Good luck to You!
